  • Applying from overseas

I am outside Thailand and wish to apply/secure a position before coming, what’s the whereabouts?
Who wishes to employ a teacher without seeing him/her in person? And which teacher can really (really) be sure that he/she will "LOVE" the position without even seeing the school in question?A few.....
Comment from admin: I have set up thousends of jobs for overseas applicants and to be honest, 90% do not even show up...This leaves my company in a bad situation...the school starts without a teacher...cannot do that...cannot risk that

During the semesters, when there is an open position, the school will not wait for the teacher to set up his/her travelling arrangements, they need a teacher urgently. If you come from the Philippines or Africa why would they even consider reading your email as there are more teachers here than positions for these nationalities, you have to be here. If you are a lovely Native English speaker with a Bachelor degree and who knows how to teach, why hesitate just come over with your documents; there are more positions than teachers applying

    Non-Bachelor degree holder
Can I obtain a work permit in Thailand without a bachelor degree?
    * As the new regulations is nearly impossible-but there are ways through.

I see on the job board that so many schools require a bachelor degree?
    * 2008, the Ministry of Education (MOE), sent a letter to all Thai schools, Labour dep.,Immigration saying; All foreigners have to hold a min. Bachelor Degree eq. to work in Thai schools as teachers Later the Ministry backed off a bit and opened a back door where teachers who do not hold a bachelor can seek a temp. work permit (max. 2 years/at time) but a letter saying so has NOT gone out to the Thai schools so most of them still think that the teachers have to have one.

    Non-Native English speaker
I don’t see so many job postings for South East Asians / African applicants?
    * Most of the positions will never be posted as we require that the applicants, be in on the walk-in-interview 25th and 26th of April, 2 days where we will, meet up with applicants from South East Asia, Africa (not incl. SA)but..Do register and fill in your CV before arriving
